Animal Meet and Greet Experience Terms & Conditions

Please read our Terms & Conditions for our Meet and Greet and Junior Farmer experiences. By booking, customers agree to these terms.

  • Supervision: All experiences are supervised by a trained and experienced staff member. Customers are not permitted to take the animals unaccompanied or leave the group with the animal.

  • Safety Briefing: A safety briefing is provided at the start of each experience. Failure to follow the instructions given during the briefing may result in removal from the experience, without compensation.

  • Sunday & Bank Holiday Bookings: If your booking is on a Sunday or Bank Holiday, please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled experience and wait by the silver gate for admission to the farm. The rest of Lathcoats is closed to the public, so we ask that you remain respectful and head directly to the Animal Area.

  • Group Size:

    • There will be a maximum of 4 participants for our Junior Farmer and other farm animal meet and greets.

    • There will be a maximum of 8 participants for our Alpaca meet and greet.

    • Please note that you may be sharing your experience with other customers. Private experiences can be arranged at an additional cost.

  • Additional Charges: There is an additional charge of £10 for each extra accompanying adult on our Junior Farmer experience.

  • Children: All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 16 or older. One adult is included free of charge per child participant.

  • Handwashing: Handwashing facilities are provided. Adults accompanying children are responsible for ensuring that handwashing is completed before and after interacting with the animals.

  • Dress Code: Customers must wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes. Sandals are not suitable for animal experiences. If customers are not dressed appropriately, they may be denied entry to the animal enclosures.

  • Cancellations:

    • Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will be offered one reschedule, subject to availability.

    • For cancellations within 48 hours, we will attempt to resell the place, but if it cannot be filled, the booking will not be rescheduled or refunded.

    • Cancellations must be made in writing to bookings@allthingalpacauk.co.uk.

  • Gift Vouchers: Gift vouchers must be redeemed for an experience within 12 months of the purchase date.

  • Farm Conditions: Please note that the experiences take place on a farm, and the terrain may be muddy. We are not responsible for damage to clothing or shoes due to farm conditions.

  • Pregnancy Disclaimer: If you are pregnant and wish to take part in an alpaca, pygmy goat, or donkey meet and greet, please inform us in advance so we can implement appropriate safety measures.

  • Weather Conditions: All experiences are held in most weather conditions, except in storms or high winds. If you wish to reschedule due to weather, an additional admin fee may apply.

  • Communication: We will collect your email address and mobile number during booking. If a cancellation occurs due to weather or other circumstances, we will contact you via both of these methods. Please ensure you check your messages; we are not responsible for missed communications.

  • Risk Assessment: A risk assessment for each experience has been completed and is available upon request.

  • Photography: During the experience, we may take photos that could be shared on our website and social media channels. If you prefer not to have your photo taken, please let us know.
